Just Can’t Wait ’til Friday News!!!

Weekly Update
As in previous years, you will be receiving a weekly update every Friday, so that you can keep up with all of the school’s happenings. You can also access this update on our website at Below you will find some important information that couldn’t wait until Friday!

We understand that Educational Outfitters has run short on some uniform items, and have placed additional orders. If your student is missing a piece or two from the official uniform, don’t worry about it. We are expecting everyone to be in full uniform by September 1st. In the meantime, a close facsimile to various uniform items will be just fine.

Spirit Day Shirt

Every Friday we celebrate Spirit Day, and students are allowed to wear the Spirit Day Shirt with their uniforms. This Friday, August 21st will be our first Spirit Day, but unfortunately the new shirts have not yet arrived. Therefore, this Friday please send your students to school in the regular school uniform. Hopefully we will have the new shirts for next week. Thank you for your understanding.

Back to School Night

Our annual Back to School Night will be held on Monday, August 24th. Families of students in grades K3 through grade 4 may come to the classrooms and meet the teachers at one of two sessions. The first session will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the second session will begin at 6:50 p.m. Families of students in grades 5-8 are invited to attend the Middle School Orientation in Caddell Hall at 7:15 p.m. From there we will have sessions in the classrooms, by grade, starting at 7:30 p.m. Each of the four sessions will last fifteen minutes, and the last session will begin at 8:15 p.m. You will have a chance to meet all of your student’s teachers, and hear about what each teacher has planned for the year. We look forward to seeing all families at our Back to School Night next Monday. The School Advisory Board will also be hosting an information table at all sessions.

Hot Lunch Program

Our Hot Lunch Program will begin soon. You will find a menu for the first month attached to this note.

Virtus Classes

All new parents are required to attend Virtus Classes with Mrs. Lori Wiegel. These classes will raise your awareness of keeping our children in a safe environment. Parents are not allowed to volunteer on campus until these classes have been completed, so it is important for you to attend. The first of these classes will be held next week, on Tuesday, August 25th from 6:00-9:00 p.m., and Thursday, August 27th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Miss Lori will also be organizing Virtus classes in Spanish. More information will follow.

Dismissal Reminder

Just a reminder that all classes will be dismissed tomorrow at 11:50 a.m. Preschool will continue dismissing at 11:50 a.m. all week, and all the other students will be in school from 7:50 a.m. — 2:50 p.m. beginning on Wednesday. Make arrangements to pick up your children on time, please.
